Your anonymity is our priority
Beacon is designed from the ground up to protect your identity. Your email address is never shown to other users. Your display name, avatar, and bio are the only things visible on your public profile.
What we collect
We collect your email address for account authentication, your display name and avatar for your profile, and optional information you choose to share such as interests and support preferences. We do not collect your real name unless you are a Beacon volunteer undergoing verification.
How we use your information
We use your information to match you with appropriate Beacons, personalize your experience, send important account notifications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data retention
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile and messages are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
